Alright this really caught y eye when i was looking for something to review. Click here. I love the field of cryptozoology. While some may laugh at the field I feel that regular science can learn from this stain in its lab coat.
This blog while well written is not that greatest of blog post because he uses some pictures that I could not understand why they were there. To me it seems like he just wanted to have pics and that he posted what ever he could dig up on his hard drive. Like the one of a one eyed man. What dose a one eyed man have to do with a large creature that is related to the three toed sloth.

Ugly Overload Sparks Interest
I couldn't resist checking out the blog that was titled "Ugly Overload." http://uglyoverload.blogspot.com/
Just the pictures alone sparked my interest--displaying new and interesting creatures from around the globe. All of the authors write well and speak as though they are telling a friend about an interesting piece of science they just learned about. They explain the animals that they display with great detail and describe their pictures of each animal with great ability.
I also think that educating their readers about new animals will help broaden people's minds about protecting these unique animal's environment. Education is the key to change....
The one thing I'm a little skeptical about is their source of information, especially if they use wikipedia data which we all know, can be changed by the public with no authority over the subject matter. BUT, to give the authors credit, they do point out if there are any misleading information that the reader should investigate further.
Overall, their writing style makes the reading enjoyable and the subject matter keeps the reader interested as well (at least the nature nerds out there). And let's face it, pictures of ugly animals...who in their right mind could resist?

Critique: “CONSERVATION: Endangered Pandas” from The Conservation Report
I really liked this post, “CONSERVATION: Endangered Pandas”.
Immediately after I started to read it, I was attracted by the way the author writes.
As you see, he does not start with the situation of pandas but talks about logo of WWF. Then, the author goes…
The author did not say “Sir Peter Scott selected panda as a logo, because…” His way is much more attractive and I thought his writing keeps our attention very well.
Another great thing about this author’s post is the pictures.
Usually, we see pictures in between the sentences, but in this post, he put them on the right side so we can see the pictures and read at the same time. It continues almost all the way to the end of this article, and we can spontaneously feel that “we are reading about this cute panda”. I think it makes much difference, because if we do not see pictures while we are reading, we will not have sympathy as much as when we see the pictures.
For example, let’s assume that we are reading an article about child abuse. All you see is bunch of letters. Then, imagine if you read the same article with these pictures.
Don’t we feel much more of anger toward the criminal?
We have so many kinds of people in the world––
People who love to read VS People who hate to read
People who love science VS People who hate schience
People who can read English fast VS People who read English slowly
To create a good blog, we want to get attention from as many kinds of people as we can. All the people’s attention makes a blog popular and famous. Then, we have to set our level to the lowest. Spicy food eaters can eat mild taste curry but mild taste food eaters cannot eat hot curry. Same thing can be said for blog. We should make our expression as easiest as possible for everybody’s understanding. Changing font, color, or boldness might make reading easier for the people who do not like to read long posts. These kinds of effort have been done in this blog post “CONSERVATION: Endangered Pandas”.
